Loretta has been with Royal Food Products for over 29 years. She has seen the transition to automation within the plant.
"When I started out years ago I was on the 10 pound line." she said. "I wasn't sure if I was going to make it because everything back then was done by hand."
She made it through and now oversees a versatile crew of seven on the gallon line. They produce up to 30 batches in a few hours now; something that used to take days in the past.
Today, her crew quickly changes various setups throughout a shift depending on customer orders. From different products to different packages, they make smooth and efficient switches.
"We make sure everything is looking good and perfect."
