Kim came to Royal 20 years ago as a sales executive assistant and newbie to the food industry. She quickly learned the ropes and now manages Royal's customer service department.
"My first week here, they gave me these sales reports and I thought, 'I'm never going to know what these numbers mean.'" she said.
After working with customers and brokers over the years, her move to the customer service manager position ten years ago was an easier transition.
Kim's love of puzzles has also helped her oversee the plant's production schedule. Normally an operations task, Royal had a different outlook which fosters an even stronger customer service connection.
"We personally remind customers about upcoming orders," said Kim. "Plus when you know the production schedule, it makes it easier to accommodate last minute orders and add-ons."
A self-proclaimed "Italian girl," Kim says her favorite product is #227, the Sweet Garden Italian dressing.
